Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Sean Yanuss left the rain behind to pursue both academic and athletic success at The University of Arizona. During his time in Tucson, AZ he was able to accomplish his goals on both fronts, first in receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies. In his own view, however, Sean’s biggest collegiate achievement was as a member of the 2012 U of A National Championship Baseball Team. It was during this experience that his fundamental belief in teamwork, along with what’s attainable through the pursuit of a common goal, was established. These, along other lessons learned during his time in Tucson, strongly assisted in his transition to the business world.
Sean started his professional career prior to graduating, taking his first sales internship over the summer with Vector Marketing. Starting as an entry level representative, he quickly climbed the ranks and learned valuable new skills to further his career path. This resulted in his recognition as a top representative on multiple occasions, winning numerous awards in direct comparison to his peers.
Having found early success in his capacity as a direct-to-consumer representative, Sean was quickly identified as a top candidate for a leadership position within the organization. While still balancing his academic responsibilities, Sean spent the next year traveling the country to attend various seminars and meetings with top executives in his field. It was during this pursuit of personal development that he learned many of the leadership qualities he still relies on today. More importantly, he discovered his passion for a service focused approach to business and leadership. This has afforded him the opportunity to improve the lives and experiences of the teams he’s worked with, along with the many clients he’s been lucky enough to support.
The following summer, Sean was promoted to the role of Division Office Manager at Vector Marketing. It was in this role that he led Washington State’s corporate headquarters, along with overseeing three (3) additional branch offices. Under his leadership, Sean developed a highly skilled and effective team, eventually being recognized as the second highest revenue producing office in his Region, along with one of the top overall performing offices in the nation.
Following his departure from U of A, and while also becoming a permanent resident of Scottsdale, AZ, Sean made a complete role and industry transition. Joining the local team at Payroll Experts, he returned to being a full-time representative as a District Sales Manager for the company. This role empowered Sean to work with local and national organizations, where he identified for them custom-tailored software solutions as a premier vendor in the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry. Over the course of seven (7) years with the company, eventually earning the title of Sr. HCM Solutions Consultant, Sean found success in a myriad of industry verticals and across a variety of partner relationships. While creating a completely new industry vertical in non-traditional healthcare services, he also had expertise working with traditional healthcare services, hospitality organizations and the construction industry. Sean developed a client footprint that extended across 14 states, with many thousands of end-users being afforded the opportunity to leverage the software solutions he deployed. These client focused results ultimately led to Sean’s recognition as a leader within the organization. While serving in this role, he was notably identified as the top representative during five (5) of his seven (7) years, while also being a Circle of Distinction award winner in all seven (7) years he operated in this role.
A few years into his career as a Sr. HCM Solutions Consultant, Sean was also identified as a top candidate to join the organization’s newly developed advisory board. Upon his official appointment, he was immersed in the invaluable experience of launching a new organization. With the key initiative of the board being to determine, develop, and deploy new software solutions, Sean served as an originating member. This included his direct involvement in taking a new product concept from infancy, all the way to launching a new software development company which remains active today.
Having found success in delivering direct-to-consumer and direct-to-business services, along with his contributions in a recent company launch, it was an idealistic fit for Sean to join the team at Desert Mobile Medical. In his role as Vice President of Business Development & Sales, Sean aims to build upon the Practice’s ability to offer optimal healthcare experiences, both direct to patients and businesses alike. For Sean, Desert Mobile Medical has provided the framework to bring his professional purpose to life: placing emphasis on his core belief that an organization’s growth should be the natural byproduct of genuine intent and care. With a clear vision in mind, Sean’s remains intently focused on broadening accessibility for our community to benefit from concierge care services – wherever or whenever that may be.
