Dr. Miller’s Story
Ronald Miller, MD has been in practice since 1998. He grew up in Southeast Michigan and completed his B.A. in Biology at The University of Toledo in Toledo, OH. Dr Miller graduated from medical school at Medical College of Ohio, obtained his M.D., then completed both his internship and residency at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. While in residency, his areas of interest included cardiology and gastroenterology and developed excellent clinical skills and a wonderful bedside manner.
Ronald Miller, MD is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, having obtained his 10-year recertification in April 2021. He worked in traditional internal medicine settings while practicing in Northwest Ohio until June 2010, at which time he sold his busy practice there to move with his family to Peoria, AZ. During his time in Ohio, Dr. Miller also was a Medical Director for 2 skilled nursing facilities. After moving to Arizona, Dr. Miller worked in hospital medicine at Banner Thunderbird, Abrazo Scottsdale, Arizona Heart, and Arrowhead campuses, as well as Phoenix and Tempe St. Luke’s Hospitals. He also worked at Adelante Healthcare and Native Health Phoenix, during which time he cared for underserved populations.
Dr. Miller is also a military veteran, having previously served in the Ohio Army National Guard from 1986-1994, obtaining the highest rank of First Lieutenant after being commissioned as an officer in the University of Toledo ROTC program in June 1990. He is the proud father of 24-year old twin sons and a very cute 3-year old daughter. He was happy to hear that one of his sons decided to pursue a career in medicine and is currently a medical student at Des Moines University in Iowa. His other son is pursuing an electrical engineering degree at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his family, and his hobbies include hiking, golf, and playing tennis.
